Here, the Kriegsmarine's 13th U-boat flotilla had its headquarters. The box has a writing "Zum andenken an Erick von Karpento" - "To remember, Erick von Karpento" I believe the symbolic picture of this box might be connected with the soldier serving in the naval base.
