Description: Wilhelm Kåge (1889-1960) Gustavsberg “Verkstad” Stoneware Spiral Bowl Offering this fine hand-made ceramic stoneware bowl with absolutely beautiful greenish-blue glaze by Swedish master ceramicist, Wilhelm Kåge. Vase measures 7 1/4" wide and 1 7/8" tall. Perfect condition with no chips, nicks, or cracks. Approx. 1960s. Marked with the Kage “Verkstad” incised mark. You can see the shape but not the writing because of an errant bit of glaze that is covering it. This is a well-known line and piece by Kage so there is no question as to who the artist is. Bought at a small shop in Malmo on a trip in the mid 1990’s. I actually kept the sales slip and thought I knew where it was all these years until just looking now and not being able to find it. If I locate it before someone buys this I will include it.
