Description: **Please note this is one of several pieces in our shop from Lt. Carl Edward Vuono, Retired Chief of Staff, United States Army. Please see our shop if interested in additional items from this collection.** Size approximations: the tureen is 15 inches long handle to handle x 9 1/2 inches wide x 11 inches tall with the cover. The box is 16 3/4 inches x 12 3/4 inches x 11 1/2 inches. Weight approximation: the tureen weights 8 pounds, 13 ounces; the combined weight of the box and tureen is 15 pounds, 6.3 ounces. Condition: the tureen is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or repair as pictured. It is unmarked on the bottom and has a sticker that says “Made in Taiwan R.O.C.” The box is coming part at 2 of the seams and has other minor wear and tear from age, use, handling and storage but is still structurally sound. The cover has a plastic insert with a label that reads ”Traditional Oriental Serving Bowl presented by Mou-Shi & Mei Ding, Taiwan, on 20 Dec 90.” No military presentation plaque included but this has come from the same sale as the other items we have from Lt. Carl E. Vuono and is similarly dated and from the same region. In consideration of any purchase it is recommended that the zoom tool be used to thoroughly inspect all the photos. This beautiful large Tureen is Made in Taiwan and comes with its original box. It’s a great addition to your collection and can be used for serving or display. This piece represents the rich Chinese culture and will be a wonderful decoration in any room.
