It may have been a custom ordered garment. The velvet is very nice and hasn't been crushed with wear. The back is cut a few inches longer than the front. It has velvet covered buttons and button loops and on the side it comes together with snaps and hook an eyes. It was hard to capture through a photograph how pretty the material hangs and the rich black color of the velvet. It measures 60" from the top of the shoulder to the bottom and 52" from under the arm to the bottom of the dress. It is 72" around the bottom of the hem.
