Description: Hello, This is an old pot from the Sataro kiln. It’s an old tokoname kiln that’s been closed for 30-40 years. The kiln was open for 5 decades or more before that. So these pots are 40-80 years old, and likely fall somewhere in the middle. No two are alike and there was a great deal of time and detail that went into each pot made. I really love older pots and pots that cannot be made again due to kiln closure, death, or both. In this case, it’s both. I don’t know the actual name of the potter; just the kiln name of Sataro. They are quite rare to find and the 9 I’ve listed is the accumulation of me buying everyone I could for the past 10 years. -beautiful large shohin size pot!
