Description: This vintage lollipop is a must-have for collectors of Spangler-brand candies. The rocket-shaped lollipop comes in its original display. The expiration date of this collectible is in 2004, making it a rare find for anyone who loves vintage candy collectibles. Spangler discontinued the classic Astro Pop after attempting a short lived redesign of the product for liability reasons. The redesign failed and this very rare version of this classic candy was relegated to snack history. Spangler would later sell the rights to Leaf but these to were all to soon discontinued. We owned a candy store for over 40 years and whenever a classic candy was discontinued we would pull what we had in stock and relegate it to our gone but not forgotten display. These have been sitting on display on shelves dedicated to these lost candies since 2004. We have retired and have been selling off this unique collection. Now it’s time for the Astro Pops to find a new home in someone else’s collection. The offer consists of 26 original wrapped Astro Pops in their original display box. The box originally contained 36 but several were sold before we became aware of the discontinuation. These are for collectible /display use only and should NOT be consumed. Do not eat.
