Description: This is a very rare collectible vintage Coal mining self rescuer from the early 1970's! I was made in West Germany which dates it to the cold war era! The engraving on the bottom indicates that it was put into service in April of 1970! This will be a great addition to your coal mining collection. It is out of date and cannot be used or carried into a coal mine today, it is just a collectible. It has normal wear and tear for its age and show it was used daily in a mine back then.
