VINTAGE MATISSE RENOIR EGYPTIAN ART DECO COPPER ENAMELED NECKLACE

Description: Departing from the floral and nature-inspired theme of 1950s jewelry, Matisse produced artistic and graphic copper enamel jewelry in many colors and designs from 1946 to 1954. Housed under the same roof, the Renoir line was also pure copper, but without enamel. This gorgeous necklace has white enamel oval cabs in a shiny and elaborate filigree copper setting and with an Egyptian Cleopatra look. Signed "Matisse" on fancy oval hook clasp, it measures 17" long and 1" wide. Tiny bit of wear on ends of a few links but no major loss and overall in excellent condition.
