Description: FOR SALE! In this auction we have a nice old jar for your consideration. This vintage Mason's blue glass pint canning jar. The jar measures 5 inches tall and has a galvanized zinc top with the milk glass insert. The vertical side mold seams are heavy and raised. The lip of the jar has been ground and is rough to the touch. This jar has stains, contact marks and scratches. No chips or cracks. The cap has some discoloration and a few bends on the rim. On the front in raised letters it reads Mason's Patent Nov. 30TH 1858. On the bottom in raised letters it reads PORT 3. The inside of the cap reads Genuine Porcelain Lined Mason Cap and the number 57. See photos for details. A really cool collectible that you may not see very often!
