VINTAGE HP-41CV Programmable Scientific Calculator (READ!)

I also do power up testing before mailing the calculator (which I place inside an anti-static bag for protection). I will place the new batteries in the holder and insert it in the calculator FOR US buyers. For International buyers, no batteries are included. The HP-41C line of calculators has proven, after over 40+ years of existence, to show every now and then issues with powering up (probably due to the build up of a very thin invisible corrosion layer on the battery terminal contacts ... which can be removed by GENTLY scratching the battery terminal contacts, or by rubbing alcohol), static build-up (which can be diffused by using a metal wire and connect the various battery terminal contacts), or other ailments. My guess is these ailments are due to the various rough conditions experienced in long international trips that may affect various components. That is why I recommend these calculators MAINLY for US buyers who KEEP the calculators for themselves. In case of a US buyer mailing the calculator to someone outside the US, I am NOT RESPONSIBLE for any damage when the calculator arrives to its international destination, as I (or eBay) have no control on how it was shipped to its international destination.
