Description: Vintage Fostoria FORMALITY CUT WINE or WATER Glass 1942, Square Column Stem Click images to enlarge Description VINTAGE FOSTORIA WINE OR WATER GLASS Vintage elegant wine or water blown glass measuring 7-1/2" in height with a 3-1/2" bowl width. Featuring fine cut banding, stem is a neoclassic square column shape with decorative capital. Purchased in 1942 when this design was first issued by Fostoria, pattern name is Formality-Cut #818, stem design #6032. Discontinued in 1951, glass belonged to my Grandmother -- I have a few pieces left in this pattern. Finish is very shiny - it has never been dishwasher cleaned. Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs, discoloration or damage - glass is crystal clear and rings true.
