Description: We are more of a guitar & drum shop really, so we can't answer any technical or historic questions about this instrument. Although it's a consignment piece, the owner only knows that it was his dad's banjo and that's about it. Vintage B&D Silverbell No.2 4-string banjo w/ what seems to be the original case. Serial number 22286 After restringing this instrument we noticed the fine tuner on the first sting is a bolt and not original fine tuner knob. Also it is a little uneven to the body (see pic). The actual tuner on the head stock was a bit challenging to get up to tune but finally did so maybe this tuner might need replacing . Local pick up available at our shop:OFFBEAT MUSIC3 S.
