That's because the black rubber spacers and neck pickup springs had to be custom made to be correct. Surgical tubing, commonly used, is weak, the wrong color, and the wrong size and doesn't maintain proper pressure. Other springs are weak, made for ball point pens, and don't put enough back pressure on the pickup to avoid feedback, or they are too large to correctly fit the route and can case the body or screws to strip out when tightening/lowering. The neck pickup screws are real Fender brand screws because they actually got that part right. The bridge pickup mounting screws are correct size/shape unplated stainless screws. There is simply nothing else out there that is truly proper for early 50's Blackguard Telecaster pickup mounting. This kit is perfect! Every part 100% made in the U.S.A.
