Description: Vintage 1980s 680-3818B JC Penney AM FM Clock Stereo Radio Tested This vintage, old school stereo alarm clock is relatively large, at 12" wide by 6" deep x 3" tall. I've tested this unique alarm clock for several minutes, and most features work. I've noticed the following:The stereo has good sound, but you'll hear static sounds when tuning for stations and turning up the sound, especially when the volume is turned up past mid-way. Once the sound modulates (after some seconds), the sound/volume is good. AM and FM tuning work. The tuner is very sensitive however, and the radio placement may affect which stations you get. The radio has no external antenna, so signal strength matters.The time and alarm work. The alarm works on radio only, not the "buzz" setting.There is some wear on the simulated wood. The alarm lettering and on-off lettering are worn off. The alarm button is in the center of the top controls.The clock radio has some scratching & wear on its clear, front plastic lens, but the red digital display is bright and visible. The speaker cabinet is a bit dusty.The alarm and time display flashes until you set both. The time also flashes during the cycle after the alarm goes off.The snooze button works. I don't know how long the snooze time lasts.The clock has an 8V backup battery option. I didn't test this feature.
