Description: Typically, I would not offer a lamp (or anything) in such horrible, unusable condition, but I feel that this vase-shaped lamp is unusual and has some serious potential in the right hands. It is not worthy of a landfill or scrap heap -- it could be a real beauty once again. There are no markings anywhere that I can find indicating who manufactured this lamp, but I'm thinking it dates from the 50s or 60s. It has a European look to me. The metal body (underneath the yellow paint) appears to be cast iron (a magnet sticks hard) --- the entire lamp weighs in at a whopping 6.25 pounds. The base is also metal, though it is not stable -- probably one of the feet is bent, but it is difficult to tell. One of the sockets is useless, the other's chain still seems to work, but the important thing is that the body is not cracked or damaged in any way. It is waiting to be resurrected, like I partially did from the dumpster I rescued it from. Who will complete the task? Please look at all pictures carefully. This lamp is inoperable in its current condition! Dimensions: Body is 12" tallRod above is 9"Base is 4.5" acrossWidest portion of body is 4" Lamp will be sent disassembled, as in final picture.
