Description: This listing is for an unused TRM (Three Rivers Manufacturing) Atom 2 Dot the "naked" version (no handles are included) and a MagnaCut super steel blade. TRM knives are manufactured in small quantities in the USA and are very difficult to obtain! When released these knives sell out in moments. Note: This is a "2 Dot" knife, identified by 2 small etched dots on the blade near the TRM logo ("dots" are difficult to see, additional photo added). TRM states that 2 Dot knives have cosmetic imperfection(s) in the blade finish. The imperfection(s) DO NOT effect the operation of the knife. With close inspection of the blade I am unable to observe any imperfections. The TRM Atom is Three Rivers Manufacturing's second full production folder following the Iconic and award winning original Neutron. The Atom's handle incorporates skeletonized titanium liners, this reduces the weight of the knife, to just 3.0 ounces. The blade is precision machined from super premium MagnaCut stainless steel, a remarkable powder metallurgy steel conceived by Larrin Thomas, a Ph.D. in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. MagnaCut challenges traditional stainless steel chemistry by reducing the amount of chromium in the steel to a precise range while adding vanadium and niobium. The result is a blade material that offers an extraordinary balance of wear resistance, toughness, and corrosion resistance. A full flat grind and a 0.090" thin blade create a super slicey geometry and a fine-tuned point. The stonewashed blade runs on polished phosphor bronze washers and utilizes thumb studs to provide smooth one-handed opening.The Slim handle scales offer an ergonomic grip that rests comfortably in the hand and pocket. The Dual titanium thumb studs and titanium barrel spacers provide a lightweight carry. The Atom sports a titanium deep carry pocket clip that is set for tip-up/right side carry. The Atom is one solid EDC production liner lock folding knife. Note: If you need scales for the knife, I have more than a few sets, if you are in need let me know. The blade is centered, deploys smoothly via dual titanium thumb studs, and it closes smoothly when the Liner Lock is disengaged.
