Description: Penny Publishing Co. NY, August 1900, VG condition stapled magazine, 8" by 11",35 pages, light wear and yellowing. While it shares it's name with a well known English magazine, this is a more scarce New York magazine, apparently published from about 1896 to about 1901. Fiction and essays on a variety of subjects with a plethora of advertisements, mostly for quack medical treatments including morphine and opium, but also including early Edison phonograph ad, illustrated with line drawings and period graphics.
