Description: Over the years I have brought a number of old rusty Stanley hand planes back to life. This has left me with a large collection of parts. My wife has told me it’s time to get rid of stuff, so I began looking through my parts bins and have managed to revive a couple of Stanley 45s. This one is basically a Type 3 (1888-1889). It has some minor pitting but is overall in very good working order. It is missing the front depth stop. The plane is housed in a wooden box I made that is a modified version of the original. My box incorporates a holding area for the cutters, which are in another box I made based on the original. I have assembled a relatively complete set of cutters (17) but not an official set. The cutters included are ¼” match cutter; ploughing: 1/4”, 5/16”, 3/8”, (2) 7/16”, 1/2”,5/8”, 7/8”; beading: 1/8”, 3/16”, (2) 1/4", 5/16”, 3/8”, 7/16” 1/2"; slitter.
