Description: I have many of these old czech glass brooches to list, please check them all out. These are genuine Art Deco Period brooch, made in Smrzovka Czechoslovakia. Around 70 years old now. They are hand made pieces, in amazing condition. They come from a factory in Smarzovka, Czech Republic. The factory has ended work, which makes these even more collectible! Smrzovka, the name, comes form the mushroom known as "Smrize" established around 1585. The glass industry began around the 16th century. The glass, established in Smrzovka, was the foundation for the later success of the Jablonec costume Jewelry industry. Just a tid bit of interesting history on these! ******************************** We do not clean or polish our items. Too much risk for damage. Most items will need cleaning or polished if one should choose to do so after purchase. We try to provide the best service possible, all the way around.
