This is a brass-riveted, full tang, straight-edge knife--and a sturdy and substantial one at that--with wood handle. Note that the handle is cracked on both sides (see photos), yet is comfortable and smooth and not at all loose or separated from the heavy tang. Also observe that the blade shows scratches from use and sharpening, but remains sharp and is in really quite good shape.
