Description: This listing is for a very nice fully Restored GRISWOLD Cast Iron cover or lid. It is the number 8 measuring about 9-3/4" in diameter outside of lip to outside of lip. This unit is the Large Logo model 2551A Tite-Top Dutch oven cover. There are no cracks, repairs or damage of any kind. This cover has been cleaned with the lye process, removing all organic waste including soot, baked on food, carbon and any other contaminate. It is then washed in a hot soapy bath. After this process, it is determined if there was any rust under the carbon and there was not. It is in similar condition as it was when sold new. The cover has been lightly seasoned and will need continued seasoning if you intend to use it and why would you not. Professional packaging and shipment by FedEx small package service is $16.50 in the 48 states which does NOT include Hawaii, Alaska or Puerto Rico.
