Description: Just out of a local smoke free house is this rare Art Deco bronze, brass, and onyx table lamp. It is in the manner of Wilhelm Hunt Diederich and although unsigned is similar to another sold on another website (1st dibs) that was described as "Art Deco Wilhelm Hunt Diederich Bronze and Onyx Gazelle Table Lamp" for $1,950.00 and was sold. There were slight differences. Their listing had a different base and feet below the green onyx base, the finial was different, and the electrics appear to be newer replacements on their listing, our lamp has old electrics except for the wire. Our lamp has the same 2 opposing Gazelles standing on their hind legs on a green onyx base. Between them is a tapering column and green onyx "ball". It supports the 2 pull chain socket electric fixture that holds an adjustable shade height rod and is topped with the brass and green onyx finial. The lamp has a new high quality cut corner copper foil amber mica shade. The lamp stands about 27 inches high and about 14 inches at its widest. The base measures about 7 1/8 inches wide and about 3 1/2 inches deep. The shade alone measures about 10 inches high, about 14 inches wide, and about 9 inches deep. The lamp has a chip on one corner of the base, some discoloration, wear, and oxidation to the metal, and there are some hairline cracks in the green onyx finial. The wire was updated some time ago and the electrics work well. See photos as they are part of the description. Will ship in 2 separate boxes.
