The polyhedron stones do have some chips that can be seen under a loupe but this is common for a piece of this age and also due to the sharp edges of the cut of the crystal. The necklace is perfect for any occasion and will make a statement with its beaded and collar style. I have researched this piece for quite some time and have not found another like it.
