These notes were used in Japan from 1946 until as late as 1958. This is a written on “Okinawa souvenir”, veteran, "Ten Sen" note of "Allied Military Currency" from "occupied" post war Japan. There were two basic types of this note. The first had a large A printed under the serial number and were only issued from July 19, until October 1, 1946. They are much scarcer. This is the more common type with a large B. The serial numbers all start and end with A. The Toy book says there were 51,856,000 notes of this type delivered.
