Description: Up for sale is a cover from the Antarctic operations of the US Antarctic Development Squadron, responsible for Antarctic aviation operations in Antarctica. The rubber-stamp cachet show a helicopter and a NYANG C-130 aircraft--the type used for supply and transport during the Antarctic summer. The cachet also commemorated the 30h Anniversary of Operation Deepfreeze. The cover was addressed to me at a former mailing address. For the record, I am a retired polar research scientist with many voyages and expeditions made to both the Arctic and Antarctic regions. It was carried to the Antarctic base at McMurdo Sound by a friend and cancelled at the base. Shipping will be made with a "stiffener" inside the shipping envelope to prevent damage in transit. Thanks for looking and good luck. -------------And now, the not so "fine print"--------------------- Payment is expected within 5 days. Shipping is the following business day, which means that, other than on a Sunday or legal US holiday, shipping is normally done the following day. All who pay on time are provided with excellent feedback at the time of payment. If you are happy with your item, I would appreciate the same.
