Plaque German Lt. General Edgar Trost to Heeresfliegerbrigade 3 in 1997(A shelf)

Description: Will be selling unit plaques, from German unit of all sorts--they all will date between mid 1970s to about 1980- to 1985. Background----There was a contingent of German troops at Fort Rucker, AL where I was assigned. The plaques all made in Germany and maybe other European allies. Again---all plaques made in Germany etc. The plaques are for a variety of German groups / branches, but most for Aviation related. I know very little German---so can do some searching to find data BUT the photos are the best description. FOR SALE: A plaque that was presented to a unit by German Lt General Trost. He was a senior officer Inspector who it appears just evaluated Heeresfliegerbrigade 3 and dated 1997 in Bonn, Germany. See below to see some history that I found on line. Edgar Ludwig Trost (30 July 1940 in Munich; † 11 January 2023 in Munich)[1] was a retired German lieutenant general of the Bundeswehr and deputy inspector of the army as well as historian.Trost was trained as an officer at the Army Officer School III in Munich, among other places. [2] From 1982 to 1984, the retired colonel was Chief of Staff of the 4th Panzergrenadier Division in Regensburg. He then worked as Head of Division in the Human Resources Department at the Federal Ministry of Defence (BMVg) in Bonn. From 1986 to 1988 he was commander of Panzer Brigade 36 in Bad Mergentheim as a colonel. [3] Thereafter, the brigadier general was head of the P III (Army) subdivision in the BMVg. From 1990 to 1993, the Major General was Deputy Head of the Human Resources Department at the Federal Ministry of Defence. From 1993 to 1996 he was Commanding General of the II (German-American) Corps in Ulm and from 1997 to 2000 under Lieutenant General Helmut Willmann Deputy Inspector of the Army and Commissioner for Reservist Affairs. As a lieutenant general, he retired.
