The exteriors of the vases are covered with enamel made in Cloisonne technique and depict two intertwined rose blossoms with fine detail to the opening petals and surrounding foliage. The enamel work shows rich color and subtle shading throughout. The ground is done in pigeon blood or deep crimson with rich color accentuating the bamboo and fine dimpled base metal design. Circa: 1930s.
