The exterior of the vessel is decorated in deep bronze matte exterior glaze, with a glossy turquoise interior. The handle is mostly unglazed with two glazed strips of bronze and turquoise at one end. This rare piece is in very good gently used condition and is signed by potter Nancy Kibens on the base. It measures approximately 9” high x 14” across at the handle and weighs approximately 2 kgs. Signed by the artist: Nancy Kibens. Nancy Kibens' love for pottery began in the shops of Japan, stirring her to take courses at Eastern Michigan University and ultimately join the Ann Arbor Potter's Guild. This is a fine example of Nancy's exceptional work.
