Description: · Gorgeous, factory painted brass, Southern Pacific (SP) EMD F-3 A&B Diesels. BOTH UNITS ARE POWERED. These engines are painted in the black, silver and red “Black Widow” paint scheme. “Southern Pacific” lettering and number “6141” is on the sides of the A-Unit. The Southern Pacific herald and striping is on the nose of the A-unit. The B-unit is also in the “Black Widow” paint scheme with the number “8041” on its sides.· These Ready-To-Run engines do not appear to have ever been run (with the exception of my bench testing) and appear to be MINT. · In looking these pieces over closely, I could not find any issues with either of these pieces. Everything appears to be perfect.· Made in Japan.· Imported by Key Model Trains.· Beautiful detailing on these engines including window glazing on cab windows and all portholes, horns, steps, railings, brake hose on A-unit and more.· The A-Unit has directional lighting installed. · Fixed knuckle style couplers on the A-unit (front and rear) and on the front of the B-unit. Rapido coupler on the B-unit rear.· As mentioned, both units are powered. Bench tested, the A-Unit runs both forward and back but could probably use some lubrication prior to using. The B-unit does not run. Not sure what the problem is but it will need some work. · Both units have traction tires installed.· There is a parts package of non-traction wheel sets should you wish to change the traction tires out. This parts package also includes 2 extra Rapido couplers should you wish to change out the fixed knuckle couplers. Finally, there is also a sealed package which includes decals with the number “X6141” for the A-unit number boards.· There is an original Key Imports information sheet included. This information sheet describes the EMD F-3 and F-7 diesels. · The original box with original foam is in excellent, slightly shopworn condition. Disclosures: Buyer to pay for Standard Shipping.
