It has a hunter case with a front cover, and the back is engraved with the Japanese government's crest, the "Paulownia crest," and an inscription indicating it was a gift from the Prime Minister of Japan. At 42mm in diameter, it is small for a pocket watch. The case is gold-plated, and the inside of the front cover features an engraving with the serial number and a scaly pattern known as a perlage finish. The dial is champagne gold with a subtle sunburst finish. Depending on the angle of light, the pattern emerges. The large Arabic indexes are highly legible.It comes with both a chain and a cord, with a clip attached to the end of the chain.
