Description: This wood carving is quite incredible, with a lifelike bird standing on a realistic log and realistic boulders. It was carved by Dick Moore and painted by his wife, Nancy Moore, signed and dated 2002. The last picture shows another carved hawk I have for sale by them. The overall size is 12.5" tall, including a 9.75" tall x 6.5" x 6.5" wood carving glued to a 2.75" tall x 8.5" x 8.5" wood base. The bird, wood limb pieces and boulders are all carved from a single piece of wood. The only thing that was added on are the talons. It's in great condition with some paint loss on one "rock" that might be on purpose or not.
