Large Antique 1893 Chicago World's Fair Transferware Cup and Saucer England

Description: The item for sale a real nice antique dated 1893 Chicago World's Fair large transferware cup and saucer. The piece was made in England for the R & M C. I'm assuming this is Ironstone China. The markings are on the saucer which is 7 1/2" in diameter. The saucer has 3 chips on the outter rim and a couple of spots of dirt that could come out with a good cleaning. The cup has some edge roughness that does go around the top of the rim of the cup. It was probably used in its life. It shows its age with crazing as it should have for its age. On the base the crazing has developed some dirt which looks like dirt lines on the base. There are some other spots that would come out with a good cleaning. It's a real nice piece and great example. The cup is about 4" tall and 4 1/2" in diameter across the top.
