Description: This MAGNIFICENT cotton 1850's Irish chain / postage stamp quilt is all hand pieced and hand quilted, with an early paisley copper madder print border.It measures 90" X 90" and is in excellent condition, with a couple of small, faint spots and no wear. There are straight line and grid designs quilted throughout at 7-8 stitches to the inch. The back and hand stitched, tiny binding are white, and the batting is thin. The pics just don't do justice to this 19th century COLLECTOR'S QUILT in GREAT CONDITION -- it's even more impressive in real life!
