Double layer reinforcement along the inner calf and ankle help keep heat away from your lower legs. CE rated knee armor is adjustable to make sure it is positioned correctly. Once you get to your destination the armor can be removed from an externally accessible zippered pocket so you can walk around without bulky armor. Hip armor is not included, but it's an easy upgrade with hip armor pockets.
