Description: Original antique color lithograph, double-page, from a children's book." I am a Kitty " Undated; circa late 1800s - very early 1900s. Around 120+ years old. Mounted by a former owner on textured art paper, backed with cardboard. Shrink-wrapped. Lithograph size, 8 3/16" x 14 5/8" Mount/cardboard size, 11" x 16" Multiple illustrations of " Kitty " doing kitty things, including eating sardines , sitting in a cat basket , knocking over a flower vase , having a visit with a neighbor cat at the window , and having a quarrel with " Fido " ( a Pug dog ) , sleeping , etc. Also, a very weary mother cat nursing her kittens on a blue cushion chair and a young child ( " little May ") with a toy doll in her hands. -------- " I am a Kitty, Good as gold , Mother's treasure , Just three month's old." " I jump on the sofa, I sit on the table, And scamper and play, As long as I'm able." etc., etc. " In a quarrel with Fido, For me he's no match, He can only bite, While I can scratch." " Away he runs, For mercy he begs, With his curly tail Between his legs." " Then when I'm tired, I find a soft rug, And curl myself on it, And sleep warm and snug."
