It first flew in 2010 and was introduced to the Russian Air Force in 2020, with a focus on air superiority and strike roles. The Su-57 combines stealth, advanced avionics, and supermaneuverability, and it's designed to compete with other fifth-generation fighters like the U.S. F-22 and F-35. The R-77 is a medium-range air-to-air missile, comparable to the American AIM-120 AMRAAM. It features active radar homing and is capable of engaging multiple targets in all-weather conditions. The R-37 is a long-range air-to-air missile designed to destroy high-value aerial targets such as AWACS and tanker aircraft. Its range is one of the longest among air-to-air missiles, reportedly capable of hitting targets up to 400 km away.
