Description: Fine quality oil on canvas painting entitled "Gloucester Schooner" by well-listed Massachusetts artist, Stephen G. Maniatty (1910-1984). The painting measures 12" x 15" unframed and it is in very good condition-slight edge frame rubbing. Painting is signed in the lower right. Painting has a nice gold frame. Frame measures 18" x 21 ". Frame is in very good condition-heavy. Title of the painting and artist's name on the reverse. Would date to the late 1950s-early 1960s. Maniatty is well know for his paintings of Western Massachusetts, but he studied and taught in Rockport from the 1940s into the 1950s.
