Large Guard J-45 Lefty Gisbon Acoustic has undergone a major overhaul of its regular lineup since 2020. Many left-handed models have been released in the latest lineup, and there is no upcharge for them. Made in Montana, USA. This model inherits the hidden popularity of the 1950s series and is equipped with a large pickguard. The body is all solid wood, with a Sitka spruce top and mahogany sides/back, the standard J-45 specs. It has scalloped X bracing and a single ring rosette. It has a straight saddle and a Gibson scale mahogany neck with a familiar round profile. The pegs are triple Kluson type, the pickup is an L.R.Baggs VTC, and the volume/tone can be controlled at the edge of the sound hole. The nitrocellulose lacquer finish (gloss) and the dovetail neck joint with glue are familiar specifications. The classic J-45 sound that shows why it is called a classic instrument of the past!
