Description: Antique Photo - Letha or Martha Watson, Curtis Watson, Sarah Wilson Watson One of 8 photos I purchased from the online Los Angeles Goodwill Shop. Almost all are identified as members of the Watson family. To see all the photos from this group, search for G24-1292. Writing on photo "Grandma Watson's last home - Della & Curtis Watson". There are 3 people in the photo - I think Curtis and his wife Sadie are at left, then "Grandma Watson" in front of Curtis. Not sure who wrote this, so grandma could be either Curtis' mother Letha or his grandmother Martha. I can't find anyone named Della in the family - maybe a nickname for grandma. Curtis and Sadie are the parents of Chester, Lloyd and Robert. Curtis is the son of William Watson and Letha Tippy. Sadie is the daughter of James Wilson and Sarah O'Shell. See above the 1870 and 1880 Census records for William Watson, living in Clay, MO and Bainbridge, IL with his wife Letha and children Elnoria, Ollie, Mary, Emma, Anna and Hattie. See also the 1900 Census record for Curtis Watson, living in Sharon, KS with his widowed mother Letha at the home of his sister Anna. And the 1891 and 1901 Census records for Sarah Wilson, living in Manitoba, Canada with her parents James and Sarah and siblings Mary, Samuel, Nathan, Gertrude, Bertha and Rob. And the 1920 and 1930 Census records for Curtis Wilson, living in Seattle, WA with his wife Sadie and children Chester, Lloyd and Robert. When I provide this genealogy info, it's my best guess that it's a match for the person in the photo. Good condition - edge wear, broken corner. Actual size is about 10 x 8 inches.
