Description: Frank W. Smith Sterling Silver 8.75" Dinner Knife - Newport Shell (Puritan) Pattern - No Monograms PLEASE NOTE, KNIVES ARE SOLD INDIVIDUALLYMarks: Flat of knife marked "J. E. CALDWELL & CO PHILADELPHIA"Weight: Each knife weighs 52 gramsCondition: Very good condition. There are no monograms. Estate items used only by my grandmother and guests. She received the knives in 1906 (at age 3) as part of her hope chest/dowry. My grandmother spoke often to each of her grandchildren and my mother (daughter-in-law) of the importance of a hope chest. Each grandchild started a hope chest per my grandmother's request. The concept of a hope chest actually works, in that you buy items up to the point of actually needing them. I have used every piece from my hope chest. These knives have been unused in my silver chest since 1981, when my grandmother passed away. Please ask questions before purchase. Multiple item savings: If you wish to purchase more than one item from my store, place the item(s) in your cart and send me a request for an invoice for combined shipping.
