This is a vintage WWII magnifying mirror stereoscope for aerial photo viewing. Included is a U.S. Army mirror stereoscope which was used to analyze stereo pairs of aerial photographs. The scope has 2 large first surface mirrors mounted at angles on each wing with either small mirrors or prisms in the eyepieces. It has folding legs with one being adjustable. The stereoscope comes in the original army green painted dovetailed wooded case and has protective felt padded supports inside.
