Description: Eriosyce crispa var. huascensis Sometimes called Neochilenia vexata. A beautiful dark purple cactus with short spines. As the plant matures it may make some longer spines. Like most Eriosyce, this species forms a tap root . Flowers are reddish orange. Requires general cactus care, but be careful not to overwater as tap rooted species are more sensitive to rot. Will clump in time. Protect from frost, though it is said to be able to withstand light frost. Plant needs good light to maintain the dark purple color, but be careful not to expose it to a lot of direct summer sun. You will receive one of the plants shown in the last image or one similar.
