Description: DATING TO THE EARLY EDWARDIAN ERA TWO PIECE IN CONSTRUCTION. FASHIONED OF A COLONIAL BLUE AND OFF WHITE THIN COTTON WITH A BOW STYLE DETAIL TO THE BLUE STRIPE AND SMALL GROUPED DOT PATTERN THROUGHOUT THE GROUND. BUTTONS CLOSE THE CENTER FRONT WITH RUFFLING AROUND THE NECKLINE. SMALL PLEATS TRAVEL DOWN BOTH THE FRONT AND REAR. THE SKIRT CLOSES IN THE REAR WITH FLOUNCING RUFFLING ATTACHED ALL ALONG THE BOTTOM. CONDITION: THIS ENSEMBLE IS SOLD AS IT WAS ACQUIRED, WELL WORTHY FOR THE SKIRT ALONE. THE SKIRT HAS A SMALL PERIOD PATCH MEND ON THE BOTTOM REAR, JUST ABOVE THE RUFFLE. THERE ARE SOME SMALL BROWN SCATTERED STAINS SEEN TO THE SKIRT THAT ARE THUMBPRINT IN SIZE, THE STAINING LOOKS CLEANABLE AND IT APPEARS IT IS FROM STORAGE. HOOK AND EYES NEEDED ON THE REAR SKIRT CLOSURE. THE TOP WAS WORN MORE THAN THE SKIRT. HEAVY WEAKNESS AND FRAY AT THE BOTTOM OF EACH SLEEVE, NOTE THE TEARS. THE UNDERARMS SHOW FADE AND DISCOLORATION WITH A BLEED TO THE COLOR. SCATTERED BROWN FINGERTIP SIZED STAINS ARE SEEN ON THE FRONT OF THE TOP. AN ERASER SIZED HOLE IS ASIDE THE UNDERARM SEAM ON THE REAR RIGHT SIDE AND THERE IS A FRAYED TEAR WITH MISSING BUTTON AT THE BOTTOM WAISTBAND AND IT APPEARS THAT STITCHING WAS REMOVED FROM THE WAISTBAND IN THE FRONT. SOME AGE COLOR AND FADE IS SEEN TO THE CENTER REAR INNER NECKLINE AND CUFF EDGE. SOLD AS IT WAS ACQUIRED.
