Description: Early Ansonia / Geo. B. Owens Mini Ogee Mantle Clock ~1800's ~ Running Good Click images to enlarge Description This is a neat old smaller Ogee clock made by Ansonia during the 1800's. It has the original movement which runs good and gongs properly, plus the original dial, hands, bottom reverse frosted glass, label(s), and pendulum. The dial and bottom glass are both in good shape for their age and the hands are the highly sought after original club or clover style. This is an important clock historical wise because George B. Owens was and known to be an indepenant manufacturer until linking up and managing the Gilbert Clock Co. in the late 1800's. There is no information about him being linked to Ansonia, yet this clock has an Ansonia label on the inside, and remnants of a George B. Owens label on the back. As noted, it is a smaller size measuring 18" high x 11 1/2" wide x 4" deep. The key and original pendulum are included. If a clock is sold as "in running condition," it means that we have test run it before listing it and feel confident that it will run for you.
