The hat has holes, cracks, abrasions and wear throughout, the paper clip has left a mark on brim and the paper has left a shadow outline on brim, the front of the hat has a faint shadow of a past emblem. The certificate is in good condition and can be handled carefully, it has stains present and discoloration throughout, the writing is clear and crisp on front of the certificate and is dated 1915, it has a faint written note on back of certificate.
