Description: Carl Tielsch Large Pink / Red Rose & Gold Cake Plate Circa 1875 - 1900 Pretty porcelain cake plate. Decorated with large pink or red roses over a white background. With relief molded scrollwork and lattice edge, with clouded gold gilding. Marked on the reverse CT above a bird. This is an underglaze whiteware mark used by Carl Tielsch between 1875 and 1900. Also marked made in Germany in red. Probably made after 1891 since it is marked Made in Germany. Has some wear to the gilding, but no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 9 7/8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece. AS
