Written by Amando de Ossorio, Jesús Navarro Carrión, and Robert Oliver. The alternate prologue that attempts to tie the film into The Planet of the Apes series was a (failed) marketing ploy.Only the Spanish version is uncut. This restoration is known to have a one-second audio dropout glitch*. Return of the Evil Dead ("El ataque de los muertos sin ojos") [1973] Starring Tony Kendall, Fernando Sancho, and Esperanza Roy. The dub title is credited with popularizing the term "evil dead" in reference to malevolent undead creatures!Return of the Evil Dead has never appeared complete in any English format until this box set.Only the Spanish version is uncut. This restoration is also known to suffer from an video/audio glitch at the 22-minute mark*. The Ghost Galleon ("El buque maldito") [1974] Starring Maria Perschy, Jack Taylor, and Bárbara Rey. Night of the Seagulls ("La noche de las gaviotas") [1975] Starring Víctor Petit, María Kosty, and Sandra Mozarowsky. Written by H.P. Lovecraft and Amando de Ossorio. - *BLUE UNDERGROUND discovered a one-second audio dropout in the Spanish Version of TOMBS OF THE BLIND DEAD, and a one-frame video/audio glitch in the Spanish Version of RETURN OF THE EVIL DEAD, which are both included in THE BLIND DEAD COLLECTION. The DVDs were fixed & remastered, and replacements have been made available-- however, The recall was issued in 2005, so instructions may be outdated.
