Description: A gorgeous antique Victorian solid 22k and 15k gold pearl and ruby 5 stone floral band ring, hallmarked to 1866. This charming antique mid Victorian 5-stone ring has a solid 15k yellow gold head and a solid 22k yellow gold band, the ring with five gems set out in a row alternating between lovely silvery white natural pearls and pretty natural rubies which glow a pretty pinkish red when they touch the light, the graduating shoulders have been beautifully carved with stylized floral fleur-de-lys topped with fern leaves, the wide band with carved channel decorations-just beautiful! The ring has English hallmarks including a rubbed maker's marks, the crown for gold, '22', the Birmingham anchor, date letter 'R' for 1866 and Queen Victoria's head. The head tests for 15k gold, the band tests for 22k gold. The ring is approximately a size 7. The ring measures approximately 18mm x 6.5mm across the face. The central pearl measures approximately +/-2.5mm, the rubies about +/-2mm and the smaller pearls about +/-1.5mm. The band is about 4mm wide. The ring rises approximately 1.5mm above the finger and weighs approximately 2.9 grams. The ring is in very good condition with all over light general wear.
