Description: This platter was made of pottery with cobalt blue glaze by Bauer as part of its Plainware line. It measures approximately 12 3/8 x 9 1/8 inches across the top. Any spots in the photos are just camera flash glare. The platter does not appear to be marked. Overall and other than as noted, this platter is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, etc. The platter has a bit of rock when sitting on a flat surface, which likely could be addressed with the use of felt pads or little plastic bumpers. There is only the most minor of scratching or surface wear -- what little there may be, is the type of thing that's best seen when the piece is held at the right angle in a strong light and isn't readily noticeable under normal conditions.
