Description: art: DER PREUSSISCHE STIL by Arthur Moeller van der Bruck. A survey of arts and architecture of the Prussian State, originally published in 1916. The title translates as "The Prussian Style". The author was a Prussian nationalist, predating the Nazis (He died in 1925, when the Nazis were only a minor party in the south of Germany.) However, his nationalism endeared him to the Nazis and his work had a bit of a resurgence because of that. This copy of the book was apparently purchased in 1937, according to the signature and date on the half-title page, during the Nazi regime. The text is in German, the font Gothic. Third Edition. Printed 1931. Published by Wilhelm Gottlieb Korn Verlag, Breslau. 6 1/4 inches wide by 9 1/4 inches tall. Black cloth covers with white stamping on spine, front cover. 202 pages. At least 29 b&w plates, all photos. Condition: Cover shows light wear: spine edges rolled, corners lightly bumped, very light rubbing on the spine edges and corners; page edges unmarked. Inked signature and year on the half-title page. Inner pages otherwise clean, tight, and unmarked; little/no toning. Money back if not satisfied or any problems with the shipping. Thanks for looking.
